Nadia Ali - Crash and Burn

Throughout the history of EDM there has been a song component that has the ability to turn a mediocre song into something amazing; the female vocalist. Whether it is the lyrics they sing or how they deliver them, they can transform a track into something that people remember for the rest of their lives. One specific vocalist that has managed to stand out consistently in my mind is Nadia Ali.

Nadia Ali was born in Lybia to Pakistani parents in 1980. Her family relocated to Queens, New York when she was a small child where she still resides. She was working in the offices of Versace when she and Markus Moser formed the group iio (pronounced eye-oh). Anyone that has been listening to EDM the last few years should recognize that name, most notably for their hit "rapture".

Ali left the group in 2005 to pursue a solo career, and her most recent single "Crash and Burn" has been climbing the charts. At it's peak it reached #6. Check her out on myspace and purchase her album on iTunes.
